About Us

The Rigby Difference

Rigby Refining LLC provides low sulfur solutions to meet post 2020 maritime fuel demand. We aim to be the global leader in providing a high quality, premium residual fuel to meet the shipping industry’s needs.

Every member of our team brings extensive experience to Rigby’s mission. We have experts in process engineering, strategic planning, technology development, refining, project execution, sales, project finance and intellectual property.

Many of our Team members possess backgrounds within oil and gas and petrochemical companies, equipping our team with the knowledge and curiosity to make things happen.

When IMO 2020 was announced in 2016, we saw an opportunity in the marine fuel market. We used our combined expertise to develop a solution that removes sulfur, metals and water without disrupting fuel oil properties, and without creating lighter materials.

Bringing new technology to the market is what we do best. We are committed to capturing market value by pushing conventional boundaries and solving some of the industry’s most complex challenges. That’s the Rigby difference.
